Space Use
Bikes will be locked perpendicular to the Event Rack as shown in the diagrams. When bikes are locked to it, the Event Rack will use approximately the amount of space listed in the installation diagrams.
To ensure that the Event Rack is convenient and safe for bicyclists, use these minimum space use configurations when installing an Event Rack next to a wall or street, or if you are putting several Event Racks next to each other.
Event racks must be stackable for storage so that 10 units stacked together will occupy space no greater than 48” high by 48” wide by 120” long.
Setbacks
Wall Setback: A minimum of 60" should be left between the wall and the long side of the rack and 24” between the wall and the short side of the rack.
Street Setback: For racks running parallel to the street, a 75" setback is recommended. For racks installed perpendicular to the street a 24" setback is the minimum setback distance between the street and the rack. 36" is recommended.
