The City of South Windsor, CT started a 50/50 cost share program with Dero’s help, and their efforts have paid off with bronze level recognition from the League of American Bicyclists. South Windsor began acquiring bike racks in 2009 and now have many installed at popular destinations around town. In 2011 they began a 50/50 cost share program for local businesses called Bicycle Rack Cost Share Program. The hope is by installing bike racks at a business, customers, clients and employees will be encourage to ride their bike to the business.
