At Dero we pride ourselves at knowing bicycle parking, inside and out. A large part of that is hiring passionate people who ride bikes in their daily lives and understand the importance of secure bicycle storage. Throughout 2018 we want to showcase our regional experts so you can get to know the person who is designing that awesome bike room for you.

What is your favorite local bike path to ride?

Raccoon Mountain’s mountain bike trails! This is the same place that I took our old GM, Andy, when he came to Chattanooga and found out this place wasn’t that bad after all.

Do you have a favorite bicycle memory or story?

Before joining the Dero/Playcore team, I was doing some contract work building trails for Lula Lake Land Trust and SORBA at a trail network named 5 Points. The long-term goal at that time (2011?) was to build a linear trail that would connect Cloudland Canyon State Park to downtown Chattanooga via trail & greenway. The connections have now been made which allows for 34+ miles point to point via a linear trail network. To top it off, just this past fall, I took my family to Cloudland Canyon for a nice picnic and then experienced riding my mountain bike home on trails I helped build, during the most gorgeous day you could ask for.

Why do you enjoy keeping people’s bicycles safe/working at Dero?

All the people you get to meet & the discussions made are in regards to improving peoples experience & safety while rolling on wheels.
